So I did something I swore I would never do....Mixed Media. To be honest, I just didn't "get it". But after seeing what some of the MFT Design team has done with Mixed Media, I had to at least give it a try. So I made a card. Getting messy was kind of fun :)
I started with a piece of Mixed Media paper that I cut using the new Blueprints 4 Die-namics. I painted it with Gesso and when dry, added some modeling paste over drywall tape. When that was dry, I painted the entire surface with some Martha Stewart Putty paint. Over that I added some more modeling paste using the new Graduated Diamonds Stencil. That modeling paste is the coolest stuff. The diamonds have so much dimension! The layer under the roses was cut with one of the rectangular dies from Blueprints 1. It was stamped with the new Art Expression Text background in Kraft Ink.
The roses are from Mona's new set, Blooming Roses and the Rose Bouquet Die-namics. They were stamped in Kraft Ink and then in Hot Fudge. The leaves were stamped in Sour Apple. The sentiment is from Peaceful Wildflowers and was stamped on a Sentiment Strip in Hot Fudge Ink.
Here are the products I used on my card today:
